Quantum Computing Scholarship University of Calgary 2026

The University of Calgary, in partnership with Universities Canada, invites master’s students and recent graduates from Rwanda and South Africa to apply for a unique Graduate Certificate in Quantum Computing. This fully funded opportunity provides advanced skills in quantum computing and aims to develop future leaders in the field.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be a master’s student or recent graduate of AIMS (African Institute of Mathematical Sciences)

  • Hold a four-year bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent

  • Have completed undergraduate courses in Linear Algebra and Computer Programming with at least a B grade

  • Demonstrate English language proficiency

Selection Process

  • Internal recruitment through AIMS network

  • Only eligible candidates from Rwanda and South Africa will be considered
