The University of Bristol’s scholarships for 2027 entry, including its GREAT Scholarships and Think Big awards, haven’t been published yet. Bristol’s pages say September 2026 applications are closed and don’t mention 2027. So this guide shows what the last round offered, which tells you what to prepare for.

GREAT applicants needed a conditional or unconditional offer for a one-year full-time postgraduate degree. Think Big applicants didn’t need an offer to apply, and results came in May.

What a Bristol Masters costs for 2027 entry
Bristol has started publishing fees for September 2027 taught Masters courses. Two examples from its course pages:

If Think Big returns at £13,000 (thirteen thousand pounds), it would cover about 41% of the International Relations fee. You’d still need £18,600 (eighteen thousand six hundred pounds) for tuition, plus living costs.
English requirements for University of Bristol scholarships applicants
Most University of Bristol scholarships need you to hold a course offer first, and that offer depends on your English score. Bristol groups courses into English profiles:
- Profile B (postgraduate taught): IELTS 7.0 overall, with 6.5 in each skill.
- Profile E: used by MSc International Relations, which is a lower band than Profile B.
