Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the International Postgraduate Excellence Award 2026, applicants must:

Be classified as an overseas fee-paying student.

Hold an offer of admission to study a full-time Master’s degree programme at the University of Surrey.

Be self-funded, meaning you are financing your studies independently (not sponsored or holding another scholarship).

Apply before receiving a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) — scholarships cannot be awarded after a CAS is issued.

Not be enrolled through the Surrey International Study Centre (SISC).
Please Note:

The award cannot be combined with other Surrey scholarships such as the Alumni or Early Bird Discount.

The scholarship cannot be deferred; students who defer their studies must reapply, subject to future availability.

For two-year postgraduate programmes, the £5,000 scholarship applies only to the first year.

Certain programmes are excluded from eligibility:

Application Process
Applicants must first receive an offer of admission from the University before submitting a scholarship application. A valid student ID and offer letter are required.
To ensure your application is considered, the scholarship form must be submitted before a CAS is issued. Applications made after CAS allocation will not be processed.
Since awards are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, applicants are strongly encouraged to apply early.
