Who Is Eligible?
To qualify for the Africa Postgraduate Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be domiciled in an African country (either currently or typically)

Be applying to a full-time postgraduate taught programme at the University of Kent starting January 2026

Have paid their tuition fee deposit by 5 December 2025

Be classified as a self-funded overseas fee-paying student, paying tuition directly to the University

Be applying for a standalone Master’s degree (excluding pre-Master’s, distance learning, PCert, or PDip programmes)
This scholarship is non-stackable unless the applicant is enrolled via a recognised progression agreement. If a higher-value scholarship is awarded, this £3,000 award will be withdrawn.
Students currently residing in the UK for the purpose of study but normally domiciled in an eligible African country are also eligible.
Please note: The tuition deposit deadline of 5 December 2025 is final and cannot be extended under any circumstances.
How to Apply
There is no separate scholarship application. Eligible applicants will be automatically considered once they apply for a qualifying Master’s programme and pay their tuition fee deposit by the deadline.
