GREAT Scholarships 2026 at Cardiff University – £10,000 for Postgraduate Study

Cardiff University, in partnership with the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign and the British Council, is offering £10,000 scholarships to students from France, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Pakistan, and Spain for the 2026/27 academic year.

These scholarships support students enrolling in eligible one-year postgraduate taught programmes and aim to attract outstanding individuals with strong academic and leadership potential.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be a citizen of France, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Pakistan, or Spain

• Hold an offer to study a one-year master’s programme at Cardiff University

• Be classed as an international fee-paying student

• Submit a complete scholarship application before the deadline

1. Apply for a master’s degree at Cardiff University

2. Receive an offer to study

3. Eligible applicants will be sent a direct link to the scholarship application form

4. As part of the application, you must respond to the following questions (max 200 words per answer):

   • Why have you chosen your programme and Cardiff University?

   • Describe a significant achievement in your academic or professional life.

   • How would you promote Cardiff University as a study destination?

   • What are your career goals five years after graduation, and how will this course help you achieve them?

Applications exceeding the word limit will not be considered.
