September 25 (UPI) – The Birdhouse Falcon 2 Skateboard Tony Hawk landed the first 900 on the X games of 1999 sold for a record of $ 1.15 million at an auction, the auctions of Julien announced.
Hawk is generally considered the largest and most influential skateboarder in history.
The transaction, completed at an auction Tuesday in Loews Hollywood Hotel, resulted in a record for the most paid for a piece of skateboardememorabilia.
Hawk, 57, attended the sale in Los Angeles.
Hawk landed the 900 – which includes 2 1/2 Midair Revolutions – during his 11th attempt by the trick on the X Games on 27 June 1999 in San Francisco. He took Vert Doubles home and Vert Best Trick Gold Medals for his efforts.
In general, Hawk deserved 16 medals on the X games, including 10 gold.

The helmeting wore for $ 115,200 during the sold trick. His knee -pads and sneakers of the trick sold for $ 57,600 and $ 64,000 respectively.
Hawk’s 1982 Powell-Peralta Signature Pro Model-the First Pro Model Skateboard that he was driving for more than $ 57,000. A bronze medal of the Vert -Final on the X games of 1999 raised $ 8,960.
The proceeds from the sale went to the Skatepark project, a non -profit Hawk founded in 2002 dedicated to building skate parks in disadvantaged communities.
