Brock University invites applications for the prestigious Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) 2026, open to international and domestic students pursuing full-time master’s or doctoral research-based programs. The OGS is a merit-based scholarship that promotes academic excellence at the graduate level in Ontario, Canada.

Scholarship Summary

  • Host Institution: Brock University, Saint Catharines, Ontario

  • Study Level: Master’s, PhD

  • Scholarship Value: Up to $15,000

  • Application Deadline: December 15, 2025

  • Eligible Countries: All international and domestic students

  • Duration: 2 or 3 terms (1 academic year). One-term awards not available

Scholarship Benefits

  • $5,000 per term, up to $15,000 per academic year

  • Awards are available for either 2 terms ($10,000) or 3 terms ($15,000)

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the OGS at Brock University, applicants must:

  • Be enrolled in or applying to a full-time, research-based graduate program at Brock

  • Hold a valid study permit or visa if international

  • Have a minimum A- (80%) average in the last two full-time academic years

  • Have at least 2 terms remaining in their graduate program at the time of award disbursement

  • Not exceed the lifetime limit of 6 years of government-funded graduate awards

  • Not hold an OGS concurrently with other awards like SSHRC, NSERC, CIHR, QEIIGSST, or OTS

Special allocation: 2 scholarships reserved for international visa students

Required Documents

  • Complete OGS application through Brock University

  • Official transcripts from all previous academic institutions

  • Transcript legends included

  • Three selection criteria evaluated:

    • Academic Excellence (50%)

    • Research Potential (30%)

    • Communication & Leadership (20%)

Restrictions

  • Cannot hold OGS alongside awards from SSHRC, NSERC, CIHR, OTS, or QEIIGSST

  • OSAP-restricted students must clear restrictions before disbursement

  • Withdrawal or part-time status leads to forfeiture and repayment

  1. Apply to a graduate program at Brock University

  2. Complete the OGS application form available at brocku.ca

  3. Submit all supporting documents by December 15, 2025
